2、atedintotheradiatingedgesofarectangularpatchwhoselengthandwidthareand,respectively,inordertoachievewidebandwidthwithrelativelysmallsize.Theproposedantennaisdesignedandfabricatedonasmallsizegroundplane()forapplicationofcompacttransceivers.Themeasuredbandwidthis1.5GHz(4.78–6.28GHz)withtwoseparater

5、equirements,microstripantennas[1]–[38]canbeused.Theseantennasarelowprofile,conformabletoplanarandnonplanarsurfaces,simpleandinexpensivetomanufactureusingmodernprinted-circuittechnology,mechanicallyrobustwhenmountedonrigidsurfaces,compatiblewithMMICdesigns,andwhentheparticularpatchshapeandmodeare

6、selected,theyareveryversatileintermsofresonantfrequency,polarization,pattern,andimpedance.Inaddition,byaddingloadsbetweenthepatchandthegroundplane,suchaspinsandvaractordiodes,adaptiveelementswithvariableresonantfrequency,impedance,polarization,andpatterncanbedesigned[18],[39]–[44].Demandforcompa
