2、worldwilllittlenote,norlongrememberwhatwesayhere."Rather,theBostonianremarked,"Theworldnotedatoncewhathesaid,andwillneverceasetorememberit.Thebattleitselfwaslessimportantthanthespeech."Fourscoreandsevenyearsagoourfathersbroughtforthonthiscontinent,anewnati
3、on,conceivedinLiberty,anddedicatedtothepropositionthatallmenarecreatedequal.Nowweareengagedinagreatcivilwar,testingwhetherthatnation,oranynationsoconceivedandsodedicated,canlongendure.Wearemetonagreatbattle-fieldofthatwar.Wehavecometodedicateaportionofthat
4、field,asafinalrestingplaceforthosewhoheregavetheirlivesthatthatnationmightlive.Itisaltogetherfittingandproperthatweshoulddothis.But,inalargersense,wecannotdedicate--wecannotconsecrate--wecannothallow--thisground.Thebravemen,livinganddead,whostruggledhere,h
