3、iveIDCCpractices,andidentifiesstatisticallysignificantrelationshipsbetweenkeyIDCCpracticesandprojectoutcomemetrics.Empiricalrecommendationsarepremisedupondatacollectedthroughtestimonials,structuredinterviews,andbrainstormingsessionsofanextensivesetofconstructionindustryprofessionals.Statisticalfindi
4、ngsarebasedupondatacollectedthrough56one-on-onedata-collectioninterviewswithsubjectmatterexpertsand47project-levelsurveys.Qualitativedatawerefiltered,organized,andaggregatedandaretechnicallypresentedasinstructionalguidelines.Quantitativedatawerestatisticallyanalyzedandresultsfromthisanalysisshowseve
5、ralsignificantrelationshipsbetweenIDCCpracticesandkeyprojectoutcomes,includingapositivecorrelationbetweenthefrequencyofIDCCreviewmeetingsthatincludedprojectmanagersandfieldsupervisorsandqualityandcostperformance.IntroductionMeetingfinancialobjectivesisaprimaryevaluationcriterioninassessingthesuccess
6、ofaconstructionproject.Relentlessmarketpressureschallengeconstructioncompaniestoreduceconstructioncostsandtoincreasevaluecreatedbythecapitalimprovementprocess.Numerouscostcomponentsaccountforthetotalcostofaparticularproject,includingbutnotlimitedtodesignfees,permitexpenses,financingcharges,landacqui
