2、iedtoserveformanyyears.IhaveprayedthatGodwouldshowmeawaytoaccomplishit.Sometimes,withoutwarning,thefutureknocksonourdoorwithapreciousandpainfulvisionofwhatmightbe.Onehundredandnineteenyearsago,awealthyinventorreadhisownobituary,mistakenlypublishedyearsbeforehisdeath.Wronglybel
3、ievingtheinventorhadjustdied,anewspaperprintedaharshjudgmentofhislife’swork,unfairlylabelinghim“TheMerchantofDeath”becauseofhisinvention–dynamite.Shakenbythiscondemnation,theinventormadeafatefulchoicetoservethecauseofpeace.Sevenyearslater,AlfredNobelcreatedthisprizeandtheother
4、sthatbearhisname.Sevenyearsagotomorrow,Ireadmyownpoliticalobituaryinajudgmentthatseemedtomeharshandmistaken–ifnotpremature.Butthatunwelcomeverdictalsobroughtapreciousifpainfulgift:anopportunitytosearchforfreshnewwaystoservemypurpose.Unexpectedly,thatquesthasbroughtmehere.Event
