4、teofRadiologicalSciences(NIRS).TwoECRionsourcessupplyvariousionspeciesfortheHeavyIonMedicalAcceleratorinChiba(HIMAC).2+The10GHzNIRS-ECRionsourcemainlyproducesCionsfortheheavy-iontherapy.IonsofSi,Ar,Fe,KrandXeareusuallyproducedbythe18GHzNIRS-HECionsourceforphysicalandbiologica
5、lexperiments.TheothertwocompactECRionsourceswithallpermanentmagnetcongurationhavebeendevelopedforthenewgenerationcarbontherapyfacility.Oneofthese,theKei-source,isaprototypewhichhasbeeninstalledtotheNIRS-930cyclotronforaxialinjection.Theothersource,Kei2-source,isademonstratio
