3、cityofindigenousmedicinesisassessedasapotentiallymorenuanced,balancedandadequatelytheory-focusedaswellasevidence-drivenapproach.ItisarguedthattheseeminglyirreconcilabletensionandattimesunhelpfulhostilitybetweenproponentsofFanonianandFoucaultianparadigmsontheonehandandarchivald

4、ata-focusedhistoriansofmedicineontheotherneedstobeovercomelestresearcherscontinuetobecaughtupineitherideologicallyfraughtandconceptuallymisleadingeastversuswestbifurcationsornarrowlyframedlocalcasestudies.RatherthandiscerningtheendofsocialhistoryofmedicineresearchonsouthAsia,t
