6、sofLearningforVirginiaPublicSchools.TheCurriculumFrameworkamplifiestheStandardsofLearningbydefiningthecontentunderstandings,knowledge,andskillsthataremeasuredbytheStandardsofLearningassessments.TheCurriculumFrameworkprovidesadditionalguidancetoschooldivi
7、sionsandtheirteachersastheydevelopaninstructionalprogramappropriatefortheirstudents.Itassiststeachersintheirlessonplanningbyidentifyingtheessentialcontentunderstandings,knowledge,andintellectualskillsthatshouldbethefocusofinstructionforeachstandard.Hence
