SpringbackPredictionofDecklidInnerPanelTheobjectiveofthisstudyistobenchmarkspringbackpredictioncapabilityofvarioussoftwareandskillsofusersonacomplexinnerbodypanel.ThisbenchmarkisprovidedbytheMetalFabricationDivision,GeneralMotorsCorporation(GM)inPontiac,Michigan.GMprovid

2、edthemathmodel,technicalsupportandmajorfundingforthisbenchmark.Thefollowingorganizationsalsocontributedtothisbenchmark.TroyDesignandManufacturinginRedford,Michiganconductedtoolconstruction,tryout,andtestpanelproductionforbothsteelandaluminum.TheUSSteelCorporationinTroy,Michiganprovidedsteelmate

3、rialandconducteddata(strain/thickness)measurement.Alcanprovidedthealuminummaterialforthebenchmark.TOOLGEOMETRYThesimulationprocessofstampingadecklidinnerpanelconsistsofthreeoperations:forming,trimmingandspringback.Participantsshouldnotmovethetoolingpositioninthex-yplane.1.FormingLowerpunch,bind

4、erandupperdieareillustratedinFigure1.Thistoolinggeometryhasasymmetryplaneatx=0.Theprocessisathree-pieceairdraw.Thepunchisstationary.Theupperdieisasolidone-piecetool.Thebinderissupportedbyhydrauliccylinders,whichprovidebinderholdingforce.Thetoolingmodelwithandwithoutbeadgeometryisprovided.Twobla

5、nkmaterialsareusedforstamping:a0.9mmAL6111-T4Paluminumalloyanda0.8mmBH180bake-hardenablesteel.Thedieclearanceis0.9mmforbothcases.Totalblankholdingforce:1334kN(150EnglishTon)forbothmaterials.Participantsneedtousehalfofthespecifiedholdingforceifonlyhalfthetoolinggeometryisusedinthesimulation.Howe

6、ver,aonemetalthicknessequalizer,orkissblock,isusedtoprovideaconstantbindergap.Thismeansthatthebindergapwillremainthesameunlessthemetalthickensabovetheinitialthicknessinthebinderarea,ortheforcerequiredtosetandholdthebeadsexceedstheblankholdingforce.BinderTravel:65mm(-zdirection).Initialblanksetu
