3、iesofsugarbeethasbeeninvestigated.Plantsweresubmittedtofoursalttreatments,0,50,100and200mMNaCl,for30daysinasandcultureandthephysiologicalresponsesweremeasured.Salinityaffectedalloftheconsideredparameters.Thus,highNaClconcentrationscausedagreatreductioningrowthparameterssuchasl
4、eafarea,andfreshanddryweightofleavesandroots,buttheleafnumberwaslessaffected.ThesechangeswereassociatedwithadecreaseintherelativewatercontentandtheK+concentrations,butNa+andCl−contentswerehighlyincreasedintheleaves.Thesoluteleakageandprolinecontentwerealsoincreased,butnitrater
