3、srepeated.Thespecificlevelatwhichtheautomaticprocessissuppressed(e.g.,perceptualrepetition,responserepetition),however,islessunderstood.InthecurrentexperimentweusedthenumericalStroopparadigm,inwhichtheprocessingofirrelevantnumericalvaluesof2digitsinterfereswiththeprocessingo
4、ftheirphysicalsize,topinpointthepreciselevelofthesuppression.Usingasequentialanalysis,wedissociatedperceptualrepetitionfromresponserepetitionoftherelevantandirrelevantdimension.Ouranalysesofreactiontimes,errorrates,anddiffusionmodelingrevealedthatthecongruityeffectissignific
5、antlyreducedorevenabsentwhentheresponsesequenceoftheirrelevantdimension,ratherthanthenumericalvalueorthephysicalsize,isrepeated.Theseresultssuggestthatautomaticactivationoftheirrelevantdimensionissuppressedattheresponselevel.Thecurrentresultsshedlightonthelevelofinteractionb
