3、iningthemodelforaparticularearthquake.Here,theearthquakesinIndiaviz.atChamoliandUttarkashigroundmotiondatahavebeenconsideredfortheanalysis.Theneuralnetworkisfirsttrainedhereforasinglerealearthquakedataonasingledegreeoffreedomstructuralsystem.ThetrainedANN
4、architectureisthenusedtosimulateearthquakesbyfeedingvariousintensitiesaswellasotherearthquakedataanditisfoundthatthepredictedresponsesgivenbyANNmodelaregoodforpracticalpurposes.IftheANNistrainedbyapartofthegroundmotiondatathenitcanalsoidentifytheresponses

6、DUCTIONRealearthquakegroundmotionataparticularbuildingsiteisverycomplicated.Thisearthquakegroundmotion,whenitisstrongenoughsetsthebuildinginmotion,startingwiththefoundationandtransfersthemotionthroughouttherestofthebuildinginaverycomplexway.Powerfultechni
7、queofArtificialNeuralNetwork(ANN)isusedtomodeltheproblemofonestoreystructure.Dynamicresponseofastructuretostrongearthquakegroundmotionmaybeinvestigatedbydifferentmethods.Oneofthesemethodsconsistsofconstructingagoodtheoreticalmodelofastructureandcalculatin
