3、tesfueldemandconditionalonfuelchoice,whichischaracterizedbyamultinomiallogitmodel.Separateestimationofenduses(e.g.,heating,cooking)usingthe1995CommercialBuildingsEnergyConsumptionSurveyallowsforexceptionallydetailedestimationofpriceresponsivenessdisaggregatedbyenduseandfue
4、ltype.Wethenconstructaggregatelong-runelasticities,byfueltype,throughaseriesofsimulations;own-priceelasticitiesrangefrom–0.9fordistrictheatservicesto–2.9forfueloil.Thesimulationsformthebasisofamarginalcostcurveforcarbonmitigation,whichsuggeststhatapriceof$20pertonofcarbonw
