3、.relationsandworldaffairs. 3.Duringthevisit,extensive,earnestandfrankdiscussionswereheldbetweenPresidentNixonandPremierChouEn-laionthenormalizationofrelationsbetweentheUnitedStatesofAmericaandthePeople'sRepublicofChina,aswellasonothermattersofinteresttobothsides.Inaddition,S

5、esofinterest. 5.TheleadersofthePeople'sRepublicofChinaandtheUnitedStatesofAmericafounditbeneficialtohavethisopportunity,aftersomanyyearswithoutcontact,topresentcandidlytooneanothertheirviewsonavarietyofissues.Theyreviewedtheinternationalsituationinwhichimportantchangesandgre
6、atupheavalsaretakingplaceandexpoundedtheirrespectivepositionsandattitudes. 6.TheChinesesidestated:Whereverthereisoppression,thereisresistance.Countrieswantindependence,nationswantliberationandthepeoplewantrevolution——thishasbecometheirresistibletrendofhistory.Allnations,bigo
