4、ingprojects;buildingaknowledgebaseaboutfinisheddesignprojectsthroughcapturingsignificantdataandrationale;queryingtherationaleanddocumentsfrompreviousprojects.Themainstructureforrepresentingthedesignprocessflowandforindexingthedesignknowledgeisthedesignplan,whichcomprisesastate–actionmodel
5、ofthedesignprocess.Basedondesignplanusage,theauthorsproposeamodelofknowledgegeneration,captureandreuse.Twoimportantissuesofdesignrepositoryusageinpracticearebrieflydiscussed–theguidanceofnovicedesignersandthebalancebetweenpotentialbenefitsofproposedsystemandtheextratimerequiredfromdesigne
