3、relation[Phys.Rev.B69045105(2004)],weshowthattheopticalsofteningarisesfromatomiccohesiveenergyweakeningofsurfaceatomsandtheacousticmodehardeningispredominatedbyintergraininteraction.AgreementbetweenpredictionsandobservationshasbeenreachedforSi,CdS,InP,TiO2,CeO2,andSnO2nanostructureswitheluci
