4、nesinrice.ChinJRiceSci,2013,27(2):145-152.Abstract:Aricechromosomesinglesegmentsubstitutionline(SSSL)S42,whichisastrongrestorerlineforwildabortivecytoplasmicmalesterility(WA-CMS)andY-CMS,wasidentifiedattheGuangdongProvincialKeyLaboratoryofPlantMolecularBreeding,SouthChinaAgriculturalUn
5、iversity.Thegeneticmodeoffertilityrestorer(Rf)genesandthegeneticrelationshipbetweenWA-CMSandY-CMSsystemswerecharacterizedthroughtheproductionofbackcrosspopulations.TheSSSLS42wasusedtopollinateWA-CMSlineofZhenshan97AandY-CMSlineofY-HuanongAandgeneratedtwoBC3F2populationsbyusingmarker-as
6、sistedselectionandtraditionalbackcrossing.Resultswereshownasthefollowing:1)InthegeneticbackgroundofS42,WA-CMSwasrestoredmoreeasilythanY-CMS,andtheeffectofRf4appearedtobeslightlylargerthanthatofRf3forthetwoCMSsystems;2)TwopairsofdominantgenesRf3andRf4governedpollenfertilityrestoration,a
7、ndmodifyingorminorgenesalsoinvolvedintheinheritanceofrestorerabilityinS42,whichindicatesthatthegeneticmodeofRfgeneswasaqualitative-quantitativecharacterforWA-CMSandY-CMSsystems;3)When205SSRmarkerswereusedtoanalyzethegeneticbackgroundandaveragelengthsubstitutedchromosomesegments(SCS)o
