3、xiththstReceived:May13,2017;accepted:May27,2017;published:May31,2017AbstractJuglansmandshuricaisauniquespeciesinChina,andisrankedasoneofthefirst-classprotectionofrareandendangeredplantsinShanxiProvince.Interferedwithhumanactivities,thedistribu-tionofitscommu
4、nityareaisdeclining,andthenumberofpopulationsdecreasessharply.Basedonthetypicalsamplingmethod,theecologycharacteristicsofJ.cathayensisforestwereanalyzedfromtheaspectsofcommunitycharacteristics,speciesdiversityandthenicheofdominantspeciesinTaikuanheNatureRese
5、rveinShanxiProvince.Theresultsshowedthattherewere32speciesofvascularplantsinJ.cathayensisforest,belongingto20familiesand28genera.Thegenotypeoftheplantwasdominatedbynorthtemperate,andthelifeformwasmainlyphanerophytes.J.mand-shurica,withatotalnumberof54,wasthe
6、dominantspecies.Dendrobenthamiajaponicaand-Quercusvariabiliswerecompanionspeciesoroccasionalspeciesinthecommunity.Thediversityindexofherbaceousplantswasthelargest,whichcontributedgreatlytotherichnessanddiversityofthecommunity.J.cathayensis,Sambucuswilliamsii
7、andRabdosiaserrawerethedominantspe-ciesofeachlayer,withthenichebreadthof2.061,1.722and1.499,respectively.Inthetreelayer,otherspeciesweredifficulttoenterthecommunity,whichshowedthelownicheoverlap.ShrubsandherbsweremoreconsistentwiththehabitatofJ.cathayensisfo
