3、nt.withenergyrecovery.Prospectsfortheanaerobicwastewatertreatmentareextremelypromising.Upflowanaerobicsludgebed(UASB)reactoristhemostprosperousanaerobicbiologicaltreatmentprocesswhichisbeingappliedextensivelytothetreatmentofvariousorganicwastewatersatpresent.UASBreactoris
4、anewtypeofbiochemicalanaerobictreatmentreactorwhichmeritsdevelopmentandapplications.Inthisstudy,thereactiontemperatureofUASBreactorwasincreasedfrommesophilietemperature(37℃)tothermophilictemperature(55℃).Thefeasibilitystudyforstart—upofUASBreactoratthermophilictemperature
5、byusinggranularsludgeatmesophilictemperatureisinvestigated.UASBreactorwasusedtodegradethewastewatercontainingphenolatthermophilictemperature.Withglucoseasthesymbioticsubstrate,thegranularsludgewascultivatedanddomesticatedbygraduallyincreasingtheconcentrationofphenolanddec
6、reasethatofglucose.ThisstudyinvestigatesthelimitingconcentrationofphenolwhichUASBreactorcoulddegradeandtheactivityofthegranularsludge,discussestheoperatingperformanceoftheUASBreactoratvariousvolumeloadings,andsummarizestheoptimumvolumeloadingofdegradingphen01.Theresultsho
7、westhat,whentheHRTis30h,UASBreactorcandegradephenolattheconcentrationof2310mg/L(namely5500mgCOD/L),thecorrespondingvolumeloadingis6.69COD/(L。d).Iftheconcentrationexceedsthislimitingvalue,theactivityofgranularsludgeintheUASBreactorisseriouslysuppressed,andtheUASBreactorisq
