2、tapplicationssuchasvideosurveillance，intelligencetransportationandmilitaryguidance．Theaimofthispaperistosystematicallystudytrackingalgorithmsofmovingobjectsandtoexploreandsummarizeanapplicableschemeoftrackingobject．Atlastpartthehardwareofimageprocessingunitisintroduced．

3、Atfirst，informationsofbasictheoryaboutthetrackingobjectareintroduced．Thecharactersandthemethodsoftrackingofthemovingobjectsonimagesequencesareimportantlydiscussed．Thetrackingalgorithmbasedontemplatematchingisrobustintrackingofrigidobjectsandislessrobustintrackingofnon-r

4、igidobjects．Manyimprovementsaredoneforcorrelationalgorithmforthesedefects．Asequentialsimilardetectionalgorithm(SSDA)isputforwardbasedonatwo—stagesearchingruleandatemplateupdatealgorithm．Thetwo—stagesearchingruleisusedtoreducesearchingnumbers．TheweightedstrategyiSusedtou

5、pdatetemplates．Therealtime，stabilityandrobustnessareimproved．Afterintroducedtheprincipleandalgorithmoftheimagesegment，anadaptivethresholdsegmentationmethodisproposed：agrayhistogramsisusedtoanalysisthedistributingofthegrayvalueintheimageandtoselectthebestfitthresholdtose

6、gmenttheimage．Atlastthesimulatedexperimentsandtheanalysisarepresented．ParticularstudyandanalysisofMeanShiftalgorithmleadstoimprovementofit：thebandwidthparameterhischangedfromascalartoavector．Experimentswithseveralrealsequencesshowthebetteradaptabilityoftheimprovementtot
