5、OH‘leadtoaremarkableincreaseintheactivity;additionofsacrificialreagent,S},alsoleadtOaremarkableincreaseintheactivity.ThephotocatalyticmechanismofSiCwasdiscussed.TheactivityofSiCwithPtorNiOloadingwasalsostudied.TheresultsshowedthatthepromotioneffectofPtloadingonwaterspliam
6、gisnegligible.ThisbehaviorCallbeexplainedbythebarrierheightofthemetal—semiconductorjunction.NiOloadingcouldacceleratethehydrogengeneration,whichmaybeattributedtothechargeseparationandtheadsorptionofH+onSiCsurface.ThephotocatalyticreductionofCr(V1)onSiCundervisiblelightWas
7、alsostudied.TheactivityWassignificantlyaffectedbypHofthesolutionandtheinitialconcentrationofCr(V1).Inaddition,thereductionofCr(VI)onSiCcouldberelatedtoitsadsorption,indicatingthattheadsorptionofCr(VI)wasacrucialstepforthephotocatalyticreductionofCr(VI).Keywords:SiC,photoc
