3、suringthesuccessfultcsting．AsoneofEnglishtestsinourcountry,NationalEntranceTestofEnglishforMAmIS(NETEM)candidatesisoneofthecompulsoryexaminationsthatmustbetakenbytesttakers(non-Englishmajors)whowanttogoontheirpostgraduatestudy．Itisahigh-stakeexaminationwhichhasgreatinfluen

4、ceontestusersincludingtesttakers，universitiesandSOforth．Asaconsequence，itshouldbepaidmoreattentiontobysociety．However,thereislittleresearchonNETEMreadingcomprehensionpart．CombiningtheimportanceofreadingcomprehensionandNETEM，thispaperaimstoexaminecontentvalidityofreadingcom

5、prehensionoftheexistingNETEMcarefully．ItisplannedtoreviewreadingcomprehensionpartchosenfromfourpapersofNETEMfromtheyearof2003totheyearof2006．Andmoreespecially,itisdirectedatinvestigationofhowthecontentofreadingcomprehensionpartreallyreflectstherequirementslaiddowninthetest
