3、．Twodifferentapproachesfornumericalreconstructionofdigitallysampledhologramsareinvestigated，namelytheFresneltransformalgorithmandthefrequencydomainalgorithm，whicharededucedfromthediffractiontheoryofsphericalwaveandplanewaverespectively．(2)Theseriousrecordinglimitationsduetothefinitesize

4、andresolutionofCCDarediscusseddetailedly．It’SshownthatthesetupforrecordinghologramwithsphericalreferencewavecanmakefulluseofthespatialbandwidthofCCD．(3)Variousdigitalimage-processingtechniquesforsuppressionofundesiredcomponentsandenhancementofqualityinnumericalreconstructionimagesarecon

5、sidered，suchashologramcontrast—enhancement，HRosubtraction，meanvaluesubtraction，frequencydomainfilteringandspectrumexpansionwithconjugationsymmetryproperty．(4)Applicationsofdigitalholographyinopticalmetrologyarebrieflydiscussed．Wealsopresentthefimdamentalprinciplesofdigitalholographicint

6、erferometryandthetwowaystorealizeit．AndalSOthedifferencebetweendigitalholographicinterferometryandopticalholographicinterferometryisconsidered．Itindicatesthatdigitalholographicinterferometryisacoherentopticaltechnique，whichallowsthedirectaccesstotheinterferencephase．Themeasuredinterfere

7、ncephasecentainsinformationoftheobjectfieldanditschanges．SOWecangettheparameterschangesaccordingtothemeasuredinterferencephase．Finally,wesuccessfullymeasuretherefractiveindexdistributionoflight·inducedphotorefractivewaveguidesandtheout．of-planedisplacementofadeformedsteelboard．
