4、quakes,SOtheyarethemainpartofthesubwayaseismicdesignworkandneedtobecomputedanddesignedcarefully.However,asfarasthedesigncodesrelatedtoundergroundstructuresareconcerned,theyareshortofspecificprovisions,designparametersandappropriatedesignmethodsandCannotmeet
5、theneedofdesignpracticeofsubwaystations.Thefocusofthispaperisonseismicdesignofcutandcoversubwaystationsintransversedirection.Manydifferentregulardesignmethods,suchastheinertialforcemethodandtheseismicdisplacementmethod,havebeencompared,andITAworkgroupreport
6、s,somerelevantAmericanandJapancodeshavebeenreferred,adesignmethodnamedModifiedSeismicDisplacementMethodhasbeenproposed.Itsdesignparametersbasesontheactualinputdocuments,suchasthesitegeotechnicalreport,seismicsafetyassessmentreport,etc.Itisacompletesetofdesi
7、gnmethod,includingtheguidetotheacquisitionofthedesignparameters,establishmentofthecomputingmodels,computingandanalysis,checkofstructuremembercapacity,detaileddesignmeasures,etc.Withthismethod,itwillsurelyhelptopromotetheseismicdesignpracticeandimprovethefor
