2、2006.Therulesarebasedontheconceptoftargetship,andhavecontainedtheexperienceandthenewestresearchresuItsofmembersOfIACS.Tohavegoodunderstandingandapplicationoftherules,somestudyweredoneinthispaperinwhicha29,800DWTVLCCofDSICWaSdesignedaccordingtherules.Maincontentsareasfollows:Calculationsofbowstruct
3、ures,sternstructures,cargoholdstructuresandmachineryspaceaccordingtherules:hullgirderbendingstrengthandshearstrength,bucklingstrength,fatiguestrength,ultimatestrength,scantlingofPSM,scantlingoflocalmembersandanalysisaboutslammingpressuresandimpactingload.5-7%steelweightincreasementwouldbebroughtto
4、thenewdesignforverylargetankersduetothestrictrequirementofCSR.thesteelweightincreasementanalysisWasdoneinthispaper.Toreducethesteelweight,hightensilesteelwasusedmorethanthatusedtobe.Twodifferentwayswereadvancedinthispapercorrespondingdifferentratioofhightensilesteel.Itisfoundthattheshearstrengthis
