4、nments．However,existingresearchesdonotprovidesatisfactorysolutiontothisproblem．Inparticular,availableBPELengineshaveliRlesupportforthedynamicupdatingofBPELprocesses．Differentfromoff-lineprocessupdate，dynamicallyupdatingaservicecompositionprocessrequiresthechangeoftheprocessmodel

5、bepropagatedtoalltherunninginstancesofthismodelatruntime—i⋯etheseinstancesmustmigratetothenewprocessmodel．Thechallengehereishowtoensuremigratedprocessinstancescontinuetoworkreasonably．Thefollowingeffortsarepresentedinthispapertocopewiththischallenge：1．Abasicframeworkforprocessin

6、stancemigrationisproposed．Inadditiontosupportingmigrationswithuser-specifiedmappingsbetweensourceandtargetstates，thisframework，withcarefullydesignedvaliditycriteria,candeterminethemigratabilityofthecurrentstateofaprocessinstanceandautomaticallyderivedanappropriatetargetstateacco
