4、ackstampsfromdistantcountries．Thefirststampcollectingactivityrecordedinmydiarythenwasaround1988whenthecompanysentmyfatherawaytoJapantostudygardening．However，itwasnotuntil2000thatthecollectionofexoticstampsbeganonalargescale．Mymotherhadbecomeinterestedinstampcollectingandmy

5、classmatestookgreatinterestincollectingforeignstamps．Thisattractiontoexoticstampsgrewasmyclassmates，liketheolderstudentsinmyschool，movedintootherclassesorotherschools．Theytooktheopportunityofgoingonstampexpeditions，oftenfacingmanydifficultiesincludingmoneyshortage,timepres

6、sure，parents’complaintsandheavyworkload．AnimportantgroupofcollectorswereClassThreegirlswho，bythemiddleof2001，werebeginningtostudyintheUS．Onesuchgirl，GuoAixing，wasenrolledintoNewYorkCollegein2002．ShecollectedstampsoftreesandbushesincludingthoseoftheTreeofHeaven．Justbeforesh

7、eleftcollege，shesentsomeTreeofHeavenstampstoChina.Theyarrivedon10,April,2003andthesestampsfromNewYorkwereputonexhibitionthroughoutmycityand1ater，in2004,thestampsweresoldtoarichman.LiQingwasaveryfamousBritishstampcollector，whoaccompaniedhismother,adoctor,onherfirstvoyagefro

8、mChinatoBritain．Thepurposeofthetripforhermotherwastotakephotosofsealifeshecameacross．LiQi
