5、pstotheseroutes.Theop-erationalplanningproblemsincludethedeterminationoftheplantoutilizethefleet.Thispaperinvestigatesthetrampshiproutingproblemforoil-producttransportationintheoperationallevelandshowsasolutionapproachforthisproblem.Ashippingcompanymakescontractswithcargoownerstocarryasetof

6、cargoesintheplanninghorizon.Thecompanytriestominimizetheoperatingcostforcarryingthesecargoesbecause(a)improvingfleetutilizationcanleadtosignificantimprovementsinfinancialresults,and(b)increasingfleetutiliza-tioncanreducedamagetotheenvironmentbecauseofreductionsintransportoperations.Theobjectiv
