4、ntfeaturesofelectrochemicalSERS(EC-SERS).Therearetwodistinctivelydifferentpropertiesofelectricfields,theelectromagneticfieldandstaticelectrochemicalfield,co-existinginelectrochemicalsystemswithvariousnanostructures.Bothchemicalandphysicalenhancementscanbeinfluencedtosome

5、extentbyapplyinganelectrodepotential,whichmakesEC-SERSoneofthemostcomplicatedsystemsinSERS.GreateffortshavebeenmadetocomprehensivelyunderstandSERSandanalyzeEC-SERSspectraonthebasisofthechemicalandphysicalenhancementmechanismsinordertoprovidemeaningfulinformationforre

6、vealingthemechanismsofelectrochemicaladsorptionandreaction.TheEC-SERSexperimentsandapplicationsarethendiscussedfrompreparationofnanostructuredelectrodestoinvestigationofSERSmechanismsandfromcharacterizationofadsorptionconfigurationtoelucidationofelectrochemicalreacti
