3、ngfacilitiesavailableinallmodernoperatingsystems.TheperformanceofdifferentWebserverarchitecturesisevaluatedinthecontextofasingleimplementationinordertoquantifytheimpactofaserver’sconcurrencyarchitectureonitsperformance.Furthermore,theperformanceofFlashi

4、scomparedwithtwowidelyusedWebservers,ApacheandZeus.ResultsindicatethatFlashcanmatchorexceedtheperformanceofexistingWebserversbyupto50%acrossawiderangeofrealworkloads.WealsopresentresultsthatshowthecontributionofvariousoptimizationsembeddedinFlash.Webser

5、versrelyoncachingoffrequently-requestedWebcontentinmainmemorytoachievethroughputratesofthousandsofrequestspersecond,despitethelonglatencyofdiskoperations.SincethedatasetsizeofWebworkloadstypicallyexceedthecapacityofaserver’smainmemory,ahigh-performanceW
