5、cedtoalegallyindependent,externalserviceproviderbutspunofftoformasubsidiaryorcapitalinvestment.AnexampleofITinfrastructureoutsourcingisthecontractwhichtheDeutscheBankconcludedwithIBMin2002(Donath,2002).SharedHostingdenotesthestandardizedprovisionofdatacenterservicesbyaspec

6、ializedserviceproviderforvariouscustomers(Riedl,2003,p.8).UnlikeITinfrastructureoutsourcing,theserviceindividualizationbetweenserviceproviderandcustomerisconsequentlylow(one-to-manyapproach).Inthetechnicalliteraturetheterm“platformoperations”isnormallyusedforthisformofouts

7、ourcing.Datacenterservicesareoftenspunofftoasubsidiaryorcapitalinvestmentwhichalsooffersitsservicestothirdparties.AttheleveloftheITinfrastructure,theWinterthurGroup,forexample,hasalreadybeenpracticingoutsourcingformanyyears(Winterthur,1999).AnotherspecialformofIToutsourcin
