5、tandforthecategoryofhousingtoriseby6.6percentand1.2percentrespectivelyoverthesameperiodoftheyearbefore.In2002,thecentralandlocalgovernmentsatvariouslevelsstrengthenedtheregulationandcontroloverthepricesofthemonopolycommoditiesandservices,andimprovedthegovernmentpricingmechanism.Asaresul

6、t,policy-orientedpriceadjustmentscoveredlessitemsandthegovernmentabilitytoraisepriceswasweakened.Atthesametime,personalhousingrentsreducedafterthehousingreform,andtheinterestrateofhousingloanswaslower.FromJanuarytoApril,thepricesoftheabovetwoitemsroseby0.6percentand0.2percentoverthesame
