3、rationsspecifications.USASOCalsoreportstotheDepartmentoftheArmy,whichprovidessoldierstostafftheforce,issuesservice-commonequipmenttoallsubordi-nateunits,andprovidescriticalsoldierandfamilysupportprograms.October2011ARMY135U.S.AirForce/SrAElliottSpreheAfghanNationalArmy(ANA)commandosalongwithcoalit
4、ionforcesconductacordonandsearchinNangarharProvince,Afghanistan,tolookforillegalitems.Theyfoundmorethan1,000AK-47rounds,rocket-propelledgrenadeboostersandhashish.USASOCrepresentsmorethanhalfoftheU.S.specialCivilAffairsBrigade(Airborne);528thSustainmentBrigadeoperationscapacity,yetits28,000activeand
5、reservecom-(SpecialOperations)(Airborne);andthe4thMilitaryInfor-ponentsoldiersandDoDciviliansrepresentamere5per-mationSupportGroup(Airborne).centofthetotalArmy;atrueeconomyofforceinsupport-Withyearsoftraining,educationandregionalexperi-ingournationaldefensestrategy.Thestrategicimpactofence—combined
