4、emberoftheyears2001–2005.Itisfoundthat,onaverage,thestrengthofthemagneticfieldanditsBzcomponentinthecurrentsheetareweakerintheregionclosetomidnightbutstrongernearthedawnsideanddusksideflanks,whichimpliesthat,ingeneral,athinnercurrentsheetoccursnearmidn
5、ightandthickeronesnearbothflanks.Theoccurrenceoftailcurrentsheetflappingishigheronbothflanksthaninthemidnightregion,althoughitismostfrequentinthedawnflank.CurrentsheetswithanegativeBzcomponentorastrongBycomponenthaveahigherprobabilityofoccurringatmagne
6、ticlocaltimesof21:00–01:00,indicatingthatmagneticactivity,e.g.magneticreconnectionandcurrentdis-ruptionoccurmorefrequentlythere.Statistically,theprobabilitydistributionsoftheBycomponentandthetiltangleofmagneticfieldlinesinthecurrentsheetareapproximatel
