5、mpromotingtheutilizationoftask-basedlanguageteachingGregOgilvieandWilliamDunnUniversityofAlbertaAbstractDespiteitstheoreticalappealandresearch-basedsupport,task-basedlanguageteaching(TBLT)continuestohaveasomewhatlimitedinfluenceonactualsecondlanguageteachingpracticesinma
6、nycontexts.ThisstudyconsiderstherelationshipbetweenteachereducationandthebroaderuseofTBLT.Itinvestigatestheeffectsofaconstructivist-basedcurriculumcourseonstudentteachers’dispositiontowardstheprinciplesofTBLT.Italsoaddressestheirutilizationoftheapproachduringtheirteachin
7、gpracticum.Basedonbothquantitativeandqualitativeanalyses,thefindingssuggestthatthecourseincreasedthestudentteachers’dispositiontowardsTBLT,butthatthepositivedispositiondidnottendtotranslateintoactualuseorimplementationduringthepracticum.Thearticlearguesthatwhileteachered
