5、laimedthatoutward-orientedeconomiesconsistentlyhavehighergrowthratesthaninward-orientedcountries.Itisalsopartlyduetothetragicfailuresofimport-substitutionstrategies,especiallyinthe1980sandoverstatedexpect-ationsfromtradeliberalization.11Accordingly,thisstudyexaminesthegrowt
