2、arymethodisalsoknowntosufferfromaseveretimestepstabilityrestrictionwhenusinganexplicittimediscretization.Inthispaper,weproposeseveralefficientsemi-implicitschemestoremovethisstiffnessfromtheImmersedBoundarymethodforthetwo-dimensionalStokesflow.First,weobtainanovelunconditional

3、lystablesemi-implicitdiscretizationfortheimmersedboundaryproblem.Usingthisunconditionallystabledis-cretizationasabuildingblock,wederiveseveralefficientsemi-implicitschemesfortheimmersedboundaryproblembyapplyingtheSmallScaleDecompositiontothisuncondi-tionallystablediscretiza

4、tion.Ourstabilityanalysisandextensivenumericalexperimentsshowthatoursemi-implicitschemesoffermuchbetterstabilitypropertythantheexplicitscheme.Unlikeotherimplicitorsemi-implicitschemesproposedintheliterature,oursemi-implicitschemescanbesolvedexplicitlyinthespectralspace.Thu
