2、sconstructedbyHPLCandtheinhibitionofcellproliferationWasevaluatedbythecytotoxicactivityexperiment(MTr)．Therelationshipbetweenthe“fingerprints”and‘‘efficacy’’wasconstructedbyusingcorrelationanalysisandmultiplelinearregressionanalysistoexplorethematerialfoundationofpharmacologicalac

3、tivity．IIltheexperiment．BeiDougenwasprocessedbyelevenmethodsincludingwarmimmersion，ultrasonicandrefluxmethodsaccordingtotheprincipleofacidextractionalkaliprecipitation．Then，wegettheBeiDougenextractsbydifferentextractionprocess．ThehumanbreastcancercelllineMCF一7waschosentoscreenBeiD

4、ougenextractwiththeMTT．Therefore，wecandeterminethebestextractionmethods．ThefingerprintoftenbatchesofdifferentsourcesofBeiDougenextractwasestablishedbyusinghighperformanceliquidchromatography(HPLC)．Inthefingerprint，wecanevaluatethesimilarityoffingerprintbychoosingeightcommonpeskand

5、classifythetenbatchesofBeiDougenextractsfromdifferentsourcesbyusingclusteranalysis．Finally,onthebasisofthedataoftheHPLCfingerprintanditscytotoxicactivity,thefingerprint·efficacyrelationshipbetweenHPLCfingerprintandcytotoxicactivitieswereinvestigatedusingmultiplelinearregression(ML
