6、schoolsandsubjecttoBritish-determinedcurriculumandassessment.Englishmediumprivateeducationcarriesthehighestprestige,andtheprivatesectorisdominantinsecondaryeducation.TheroleofEnglishisnowbeingenhancedbyglobalization,whichthreatensaculturalrecolonizationofBangladesh,andbyWorldBankstrategiesdesig
