3、dinmanydiseaseprocesses,includingethanol-inducedneurotoxicity.Ethanolexposurehasbeenshowntoinducethegenerationofreactivefreeradical/nvitroandinvivo.Ourpreviousstudyshowedthatethanol-inducedDNAdamageWasresultedfromtheethanol-inducedoxidativestress.Therefore,
4、itisreasonabletoassumethatantioxidantsmighthaveprotectiveeffectsonethanol-inducedoxidativeDNAdamage.Inpresentstudy,itWasclearlydemonstratedthattheisolatedgrapeseedprocyanidinfractionsandotherantioxidantssuchasascorbicacid,vitaminEandresveratrolcouldmarkedly
5、decreasethelevelsofDNAsingle—strandbreaksinducedbyethan01.Inotherwords,thegrapeseedprocyanidinsandotherantioxidantsCallbeusedinpreventionandtreatmentoftheailmentsincentralnervoussysteminducedbyethanolabuse.Wehavedemonstratedthatcerebellumandhippocampus.espe
