4、imageandthecommonstandardsfromthewesternperspectives.Thethesishassixchapters.ThefirstchapterintroducesthecurrentsituationandchallengesofChina’spre-serviceforeignlanguageteachertraining,reviewstheexistingstudiesonthestandardsofpre-serviceforeignlanguageteachert
5、raining,definesthecoreconceptsandintroducestheprocessandmethodsinvolved.ThesecondchapterreviewsthehistoryoftheAmerica’sandtheEuropeanUnion’sforeignlanguageteachertrainingandthedevelopment,analyzesthecomparability.ThethirdchapteranalyzesB.Kumaravadivelu’s“KARDS
6、”abilitymodelofforeignlanguageteacher(2012),identifiesthecomparativedimensionsandthecoreelementsoftheAmerica’sandtheEuropeanUnion’sforeignlanguageteachertrainingstandards.Thefourthchaptercomparesthestandardsofpre-serviceforeignlanguageteachertrainingbetweenthe
