4、gnanoparticlesweremainlytreatedbybiotechnology.Sludgewasamajorcomponentofbiologicalwastewatertreatmentsystem.Thesettlingproperties,dehydrationperformance,bioflocculationandsurfacecharacteristicsofsludgewereaffectedlargelybythesludgeextracellularpolymericsubstances(EPS).Atpresent,theadsorptioncha
5、racteristicsofheavymetalionsandnanoparticlesbythewholesludgeEPSarewidelystudied,whilethecomponentanalysisofEPSwhichaffectstheadsorptionperformanceisunknown,andmostofthestudiesarefocusedonwasteactivatedsludge.Therefore,acomprehensiveinquiryofsludgeEPSisimportantforheavymetalionsandnanoparticlesre
6、movalbyabsorption.Thehydrophilic/hydrophobiccomponentsandthephysicalandchemicalcharacteristicsofthreekindsofEPS(theEPSfomactivatedsludge,anaerobicgranularsludgeandanaerobicgranularsludge)werestudiedbyclassificationexperiments.Theresultsshowedthataromaticsubstancesandmicrobialmetaboliteswerethema
