3、rviaapartitionedsolutionapproach.Specialemphasisisputontheappropriatediscretizationinthestructuralsimulationsapplyingclassical-versionFEMandadvanced-elements.Resultsforapracticallyrelevantapplicationofamobiletentroofrepresentinglightweightmembranestructuresaredisc

5、eightstructures,windtunnel.1IntroductionInvariousfieldsofcivilengineeringtheinteractionoffluidandstructureplaysanimpor-tantrole.Withthecontinuousincreaseofcomputerpower,theseproblemshaveattractedmoreandmoreinterestincomputationalmechanics.Mostpublishedapproachesuseapa
6、rtitionedsolutionscheme,wherespecializedprogramsforfluidandstructuraldynam-icsarelooselycoupledinaframealgorithm.Thisapproachbasicallytransfersineachtimestepsurfacepressureandshearforcesfromthefluidtothesurfaceofthestructureandupdatesthegeometryofthefluiddomainaccordin
7、gtothecomputedstructuraldis-placement.Variousversionsofthisbasicapproachrangingfromanexplicittimesteppingtoafullyimplicitcouplinghavebeenproposed[1]-[4].Especiallytwolargegroupsofconstructionsincivilengineeringarestronglyaffectedbyfluid-structureinteractionphenomena.
