3、effectofemptynesttypeandsocialsupportonthementalhealthoftheelderly,inordertoprovideideasforimprovementofelderlypeople’smentalhealthservices.Methods:ThestudyappliedSocialSupportRatingScale(SSRS),GeneralWell-BeingSchedule(GWB)andSymptomChecklist-90(SCL-90)asmeasurementtools,andrandomlyselected263em
4、ptynestersand278non-emptynestersfromBeijingmultiplecommunitiesasparticipants.Results:1)InthedimensionsofEnergy,MoodofDepressionorPleasantfromGWB,non-emptynesters’scoresweresignificantlyhigherthanemptynesters’(p<0.01);intheaspectsofSomatization,Ob-sessive-Compulsive,InterpersonalSensitivity,Anxiet
5、y,Hostility,Phobia,Paranoid,PsychoticandtotalscoresfromSCL-90,non-emptynesters’scoresweresignificantlyhigherthanemptynesters’(p<0.05orp<0.01).2)ExceptforthedimensionofHealthConcerns,happinessscoresoftheel-derlywithlowsocialsupportweresignificantlylowerthanthosewithmoderatesocialsupport(p<0.05),an
