3、therresearchonit．Themainworkincludes：Firstly,inviewofthedrawbacksofexistingmethod，thecorrespondingoptimalmeasureswereputforward：movethevariablemessagesign(VMS)totheupstreamroadsectionoftheintersection，advancethejudgetimeofIBAsystemandcontroltheinstanttimewhentheIBAwasa

4、ctivatedtobeavailabletogeneraltrafficdynamically．Thenonthisbasis，thenecessaryequipmenttoensuretheoperationIBAwassummarized，andtheprocessstepsofthisoptimalcontrolwereproposedspecifically．Secondly,thelane—changingbehaviorofgeneraltrafficwasstudiedundertheIBAoptimalcontr0

5、1．Basedonthisstudy,thelengthofvehiclemergingroadsectionwascalculatedbygapacceptancetheoryanddifferentialmethods．Thestoragelengthofapproacheswascalculatedaccordingtothemaximumqueuelengthatintersections．Thus，thedistancebetweenthepositionofVMSandthestoplineCanbedetermined
