5、essagedeliveryprotocols.Theframeworkusesaflexibleandadaptivemailbox-basedscheme,whichassociateseachmobileAgentwithamailboxwhileallowingthedecouplingbetweenthem,i.e.,amobileAgentcanmigratetoanewsitewithoutbringingitsmailbox.Byseparatingtheconcernsoflocatingthemai
6、lboxofamobileAgentanddeliveringamessagetotheAgent,alargespaceofprotocoldesignwithflexibilityisobtained.Usingathree-dimensionalmodelbasedonthescheme,thegenericframeworknotonlycovers,asparticularcases,severalknownprotocols,butalsoallowsforthedesignofnewonessuitedf
7、orvariousapplicationrequirements.Byextensivesimulationexperiments,trade-offsbetweendesignparameterselectionandtheirimpactontheperformanceofderivedprotocolareanalyzed.Theconclusionofanalysiscanbeusedtoguideapplicationsoftheframework.Keywords:mobileAgent;communica
