3、IEEElensesthatrequiresthatthecameraobservesaplanarcalibrationpattern.ThecalibrationmethodisbasedonagenericcameraAbstract—Fish-eyelensesareconvenientinsuchapplicationswhereaverywidemodelthatwillbeshowntobesuitablefordifferentkindofangleofviewisneeded,buttheiruseformeas
4、urementpurposeshasbeenlimitedomnidirectionalcamerasaswellasforconventionalcameras.First,bythelackofanaccurate,generic,andeasy-to-usecalibrationprocedure.WeinSection2,wepresentthecameramodeland,inSection3,henceproposeagenericcameramodel,whichissuitableforfish-eyelensca
5、merasaswellasforconventionalandwide-anglelenscameras,andacalibrationmethodtheoreticallyjustifyitbycomparingdifferentprojectionmodels.Inforestimatingtheparametersofthemodel.TheachievedlevelofcalibrationSection4,wedescribeaprocedureforestimatingtheparametersofaccuracyis
