5、ancetosocioculturalcontext,thisstudydescribes,maps,andexplainsevolvingpatternsofcommunicationonTwitterthroughtheeventsofthe2011Egyptianuprisings,whichledtotheresignationofPresidentMubarak.Usingamultimethodologicalapproach,weconductedanetwork,content,anddiscourseanalysisofrandomlysampledtweetsfrom

6、approximatelyonemilliontweetsoveramonth-longtimeperiodtostudybroadcastingandlisteningpracticesonTwitter.Thefindingssuggestednetworkedframingandgatekeepingpracticesthatbecameactivatedasprominentactorsandframeswerecrowdsourcedtoprominence.Quantitativefindingsunderscoredthesignificantroleofordinaryu
