2、ersfromtheLiuandJordan[1]methodinthemannerinUniversityofWisconsin-Madisonwhichthebeamradiationcomponentisdetermined.ThemethodisapplicableforMadison,Wis.53706surfacesofanyorientation.RvaluescalculatedinthismannerandbytheLiuandJordanmethodarecomparedwithintegratedhour

3、lycalculationsfor23yearsinMadison,WI,Albuquerque,NMandMiami,FL;thecomparisonsshowthat.themethoddescribedinthispaperagreesmorecloselywiththeintegratedhourlycalculations,especiallyforsurfacesfacingeastorwestofsouth.1IntroductionAmethodofestimatingthemonthly-average1so

4、larapproximatedtobetheratioofthemonthlyextraterrestrialradiationincidentonsurfacesorienteddirectlytowardstheradiationontheinclinedsurfacetothatonahorizontalequatorhasbeendevelopedbyLiuandJordan[1].Thesurface.Thisapproximationresultsintheanalyticalex•methodwaslaterex
