2、rtheappliedmagneticfield,andexhibitcontrollableyieldstrength.Sincethemagnetorheologicalbrakeiscontrolledbythecurrent,theyareabletoimprovetobrakeresponsespeed,therebyincreasetrafficsafety.Magnetorheologicalfluidsanddeviceshasmadegreatprogress,butitstillencountersmanydifficultiesandshortcomingsuptonow
3、.Therefore,itsapplicationneedsfurtherresearch.Thispaperfocusesondisk-typemagnetorheologicalbrakeusedinmicrocarsandlaunchesastudyofthefollowingcontent.First,itsummarisestheresearchanddevelopmentofmagnetorheologicalfluidsanddevices,andfullyunderstandtherheologicalpropertiesandmechanismofMRF.Secondly,i
4、tanalysesthefunctionandcharacteristicsofmagnetorheologicalbrakeandcombineswiththeclassicaltheoryandmodelofMRFthenchosesamagnetorheologicalfluidwhichissuitableforvehiclebrake.Andaccordingtothose,thebrakingtorqueofmagnetorheologicalfluidbrakeisdeduced.Itcompletesthedesignofmagneticcircuitandelectricci
5、rcuitafterelaboratingthebasicprinciplesandconsiderationsofmagneticcircuit.Italsoselectsvariousmaterialsofthecomponent.Then,8majorparametersofmagnetorheologicalfluidbrakearedesigned.Magneticcircuitdesignprovesreasonablethroughmodeling,solvingandanalysingmagnetorheologicalbrakeprototypeusingsoftwareAN
6、SYS.Then,basedonAPDL,thispaperhasestablishedamathematicalmodelofmagnetorheologicalfluidbrakeoptimizationdesignandoptimizedforsolvingintheANSYS.Comparedwiththeinitialdesign,theresultsofoptimaldesignismorereasonableandthenpointoutthatthemaincoolingmethodofbrakeisair-cooled.Basedontheoptimalresults,mag
