5、acontinualconsolationinthefaceoflife'shardships,myownandothers',andanunfailingwell-springoftolerance.Thisrealizationmercifullymitigatestheeasilyparalyzingsenseofresponsibilityandpreventsusfromtakingourselvesandotherpeoplealltooseriously;itisconducivetoaviewoflifewhich,inp
6、articular,giveshumoritsdue.Toinquireafterthemeaningorobjectofone'sownexistenceorthatofallcreatureshasalwaysseemedtomeabsurdfromanobjectivepointofview.Andyeteverybodyhascertainidealswhichdeterminethedirectionofhisendeavorsandhisjudgments.InthissenseIhaveneverlookeduponease
